Every card, set, printing, artist and legality comes from the Scryfall bulk data files, the reference the whole game uses. Sealed products, preconstructed decks and their contents come from MTGJSON, which is also where the price history behind every chart is built. Retail figures refresh daily, stored as a snapshot per printing rather than overwritten, so the history stays honest.
Not every value on the site is an observed sale. When a printing is too rare or too new to have enough priced sales on file (a serialized card, or a foil premium on a set still filling in), the figure is worked out from a fitted estimate instead and marked "est." right on the page, so you always know whether you are reading a recorded price or a calculated one.
